Eleni Era (CY)

Eleni Era is a Berlin-based singer-songwriter, classical pianist and girls' choir leader. Her songs feature her silky-smooth vocals that range from full-bodied to crystalline, with trance-like and mellow beats sewn through lush piano chords. Hailing from a small village on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, Eleni Era was trained as a classical concert pianist, studying at the University of Arts in Berlin, later performing both in her homeland in Cyprus and her base in Berlin. 

Her debut album 'Rise Love' released in 2019 is a confessional one - "I find salvation in heading to the piano humming through a yet unborn melody at 3am, waiting for the exact words to come out so that I can listen to what they have to say. It helps me understand myself and I heal in the process." Using both English and her native Greek tongue, her 2021 sophomore album, ‘Younger Heart’, builds on themes of empowered compassion. Eleni Era’s bedsit lyricism is authentic and her chamber pop blends effortlessly with baroque elements, electric-acoustic orchestrations and hints of vintage gospel. Her dreamy pop single ‘Walk with Me’ was featured in Netflix series ‘Love 101’ and following its release, Eleni Era teamed up with EDM artist St. Mary to elevate the track’s emotive character. Eleni Era's live shows vary between intimate and serene piano and vocal amalgamations, as well as into heightened loops beats, rhythmic vocal improvisations, all supported by breathy synth pads and chiming electric piano.
