Unique Orchestra (CZ)

Unique Orchestra is a multi-genre orchestra that focuses primarily on non-classical musical styles such as pop, rock, jazz or film music. The orchestra was founded by cellist Šimon Marek in 2020 in Prague. The uniqueness of this collective lies in the fact that it is the only one in the Czech Republic dedicated to pop music professionally.

Unique Orchestra brings together first-class instrumentalists active on the Czechoslovak pop scene, as well as top soloists and leading chamber and orchestral players who have a close relationship with non-classical music genres. This very idea - to connect musicians with a common interest and the same feeling for music - was the main motivation for founding this unique ensemble.

In the short period of its existence, the orchestra already has several successful projects, concerts and recordings to its credit. Since 2020, he has participated in several important concerts or recordings. For example, the Anděl Awards (2020 and 2023), Concerts for Svěltuška, Glorchestra 2021 and 2022, recording music for the film "Adored" for Czech Television, recording music for the Bohemian Gravity project, etc. He collaborates with artists across genres - Ewa Farna, Lenny, Nobodylisten , Idea, MC Gey, Richard Krajč, Pokáč, Vladimír 518, DJ Wich, Katarzi, 7krát3, Žofia Dares or the band Tata Bojs.
